Emily Esposito is a current Postdoctoral Scholar at the Impact Institute (formerly an NIH T32 Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health under the NU-THRIVE Program) at Northwestern University. She is mentored by Dr. Michelle Birkett. Dr. Esposito is an incoming Assistant Professor in Social Psychology at Northeastern Illinois University, starting August 2025.

Her work focuses on sexual minority health and well-being disparities, and how gay-friendly venues, selective migration, and structural and regional contexts can promote belonging, well-being, and health for LGBTQ+ people.
